WOLF RUN

The Winter Wolf Run is back as it comes to Leicestershire’s Stanford Hall this weekend on 5 and 6 November. Do you have what it takes to defeat it?

The Wolf Run is approximately 10k of off-road running featuring a series of man-made and natural obstacles located throughout the course. The concept was to re-create the feeling of running in natural terrain – a wild run that would allow people to experience natural, raw running conditions as far as possible whilst also presenting runners with a challenging, interesting and enjoyable event.

In other words you will get wet, you will get muddy, but it will be bloody good fun!

It’s all about experiencing wild running. It’s not a race and it’s not meant to be competitive. There’ll be no officials recording your race time and if you do want to time yourself then make sure your watch is waterproof.

From lake swims and muddy pits to climbing fallen trees and out of ditches, you won’t be short of a challenge, but The Wolf Run is all about teamwork so even if you run it as a lone wolf there’ll be plenty of people around to give a helping hand.

If you’ve already signed up to this weekend’s event you can get some very hand training tips here. Don’t forget that if you’re taking friends and family for moral support they’ll be able to stay warm and comfy in the event village with heated marquees and watch the race playback from the screens! (That’s where you’ll find me!)

If you want to put in a bit more training first or maybe wait for the warmer weather then The Wolf Run will be back in the summer on 3 & 4 June. You can book your place right here.

We’ll be sending 2 of our team down this weekend to experience the run so check back soon to find out how they get on!
