Until 31 May 2026, discover Leicester like never before with Planet Parade – a free, family-friendly solar system trail where art, science and local creativity collide across the city centre.
Running across Leicester city centre, Planet Parade has been created by around 250 local schoolchildren and artists, and gives the opportunities for families to explore and win prizes
Spread out across Leicester’s town centre, each planet is represented through bold, imaginative artworks installed at different venues. Families are invited to explore all eight planets – plus the Sun at the National Space Centre – while discovering Leicester’s proud space heritage, learning fascinating science facts, and enjoying creativity at every stop.
You can also take part in the Planet Parade digital trail, by downloading the My Leicester App. As you visit each planet, check in on the app to complete the trail. Once you’ve spotted all eight planets and the Sun, you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will take home a £200 Leicester Gift Card, a family day out at the National Space Centre AND a soft Ziggy toy!
If you complete the trail on the app you can also collect a free Ziggy badge from the National Space Centre ticket office (while stocks last, 12:00–16:00). One completed trail equals one badge!
Planet Parade runs until 31 May 2026. For full information, you can visit the Planet Parade website.
