We all know that Ladies Day is one of the biggest events of the year, but it’s not all about the ladies glamour this year as Leicester Racecourse announce more details of its Gentleman’s Day on Saturday 29 April. Alongside plenty of entertainment there’ll be a full day of racing, which will include The King Richard III Stakes, Leicester’s only listed race of the year.

With Ladies Day having become renowned for the outfits on display, this time it’s the boys’ turn with prizes for the Best Dressed Gentleman on the day. The winner’s prize comes courtesy of Everyone Active who will be presenting a year’s gym membership to the winner.

Providing the Racecourse’s first weekend meeting of the year, Gentleman’s Day will kick off a programme of race entertainment running throughout the summer. With a full day of entertainment, punters can look forward to musical entertainment from Los Palmas 6, the fabulous Madness tribute band featuring Steve Turner who played live with Madness for eleven years. For those with a fun or competitive edge there’ll be plenty to enjoy with penalty shoot outs, a hammer challenge, coconut shy, darts and even a bucking bronco to keep you busy. The entertainment will all be taking place in a specially erected indoor arena close to the racing offering plenty of indoor cover, bars and seating.

Of course there’ll be plenty of live racing action on the day as well including The King Richard III Stakes, Leicester’s own listed race, which is sure to draw a bumper crowd.

Advance tickets for Gentleman’s Day are on sale now priced at £20 with hospitality packages also available, including Stag packages for groups of 10 or more. All tickets are on sale now from www.leicester-racecourse.co.uk.
