So the Comedy Festival is over for another year and everybody needs something else to do right? To help you out we thought we’d take a look ahead to the weekend and see what’s happening, starting with Friday…
On Friday there’s going to be a bit of a buzz happening in the Cultural Quarter with the very first ABC, yes that’s ABC for Alternative Bar Crawl. How many ears pricked up when they heard “bar crawl”? This is a bar crawl with a difference though as it’s all about discovering new people, places and seeing the Cultural Quarter at its most magnificent self.
To cut a long story short the crawl begins at Curve at 5pm, there you’ll be able to get a drink (well it is a bar crawl) and also listen to tales from performers and visual artists. Then proceedings will move onto Phoenix Square. Once at Phoenix you can grab a bite to eat, more to drink, enjoy some short stories and musical entertainment before moving onto The Soundhouse for the end of the evening. Once at The Soundhouse you can drink to your heart’s content, you can dance to the tunes of Gadjos and best of all it’s free.
These shindigs are going to be happening once a month, but this is the very first. It’s going to be a goodun!
